As 4-year-olds, they posed as bride and groom in a pretend wedding at a carnival. Later, barely out of their teens, they married for real.
And this year, 87 years after that old photo was taken, the one they fondly refer to as their first wedding rehearsal, the British couple are celebrating their platinum anniversary after 70 years of marriage.

What Would You Do If You Fell In Love With A Cultist?
I'm a lady in my mid -twenties, who happened to have met this very good guy. He knows everything about me and I always ask him to share things with me also.
We talk about the future a lot with the hope that we get married someday and we have been going strong.
Last week during one of our one to many conversations, he told me a secret that he used to be a cultist, however stopped.
But recently I found that he is still one oo and can't denounce or he will die but just stopped being active.
I love him but he doesn't even know the implication of still being one. He says he can't say some things or else or even leave like that... I'm really confused at this point.
I want to get married and have a wonderful life but with a Cultist,,, errm I dont think so.
Has anyone particularly females ever been in this situation? Please, what did you do?
Four UNIBEN students killed in cult clash
Four students of the University of Benin have been reportedly killed in a renewed cult war between two rival cult groups.
It could not be ascertained what led to the recent killings.
Sources said two were killed at Osasogie Street close to the university main campus at Ugbowo along the Benin-Lagos Express Road.
The source said several shots were fired in other areas around the university including the staff quarters.
Apparently in a reprisal attack, another two students were shot inside the university campus where students have queued for biometric registration at the University Sports Complex.
One of the victims, who is a 200-level Mathematics student and simply identified as Snazzy, was shot in the neck.
The attackers were said to have dropped the gun and escaped in the ensuing stampede.
The identity of the other student could not be ascertained as at press time.
Snazzy was rushed to the University of Benin where doctors battled to save his life to no avail.
The Public Relations Officer of the university, Harris Osarenren, did not pick calls made to his cell phone for comments.

I'm not going to assume and say she was drunk when she came on stage
to perform at the Kukere concert in London last night, but she
definitely behaved odd. She said something about not wanting to wave
because her armpit wasn't shaved and kept mouthing off until she fell.

ALL For Figure 8 - Woman gets 16 inch waist by sleeping in a corset for THREE years
For most of us, a slender waist is the product of a careful diet and plenty of exercise. But not for Michele Kobke, 24.
The Berliner has shrunk her waist from 64cm (25 inches) to just 40cm (16 inches) by wearing a corset every day for three years - even while sleeping.
And despite now having a waist smaller than most catwalk model's, the German slimmer says she hopes to whittle her waist down to a shocking 38cm or 14 inches wide.

NYSC Cancels Passing Out Parade In Nasarawa Over Insecurity
The
2012 Batch ‘B’ corps members posted to Nasarawa State concluded their
service year on Thursday without the usual passing out parade and
fun-fare, the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports.
The NYSC State Coordinator, Mr Stephen Alabi, said the ceremony was shelved because of the security challenges facing the state.
“This arrangement will definitely deny most corps members the privilege of benefitting from invaluable advice and admonition from dignitaries and the opportunity to meet with their colleagues from different local government areas for the last time before leaving,” Alabi said.
According to him, certificates are being presented quietly to the outgoing corps members simultaneously across all the zonal headquarters in the state.
Alabi said a total of 2,871 corps members successfully completed the service year and would be given Certificates of National Service.
He said 18 corps members would repeat the service for absconding, while five would have their service year extended for periods ranging from two months to five months for various offences.
The state coordinator also announced that three corps members in the state died during the service year.
He advised the outgoing corps members to imbibe the spirit of entrepreneurship, stressing that the chances of people getting white collar jobs were getting slimmer every day.
In his remark, the Commissioner for Sports and Youth Development, Mr Angama Weibey, congratulated the corps members for their meritorious service.
He assured them that the state government would always provide an enabling environment for those, who would want to start their post-service life in the state.
Weibey pointed out that various opportunities existed in the state. (NAN)
