Many houses, offices and vehicles were submerged in parts of Lagos on Thursday, following hours of heavy rainfall.
Reports from across the state indicated that floods inundated parts of the state, causing heavy traffic and damage to property.
Many commuters and motorists were stranded on some roads within the
state while some had to park on some highways, due to the poor
visibility.
The situation was compounded by the lingering fuel scarcity and long queues at filling stations.
Many motorists parked their vehicles on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway,
to avoid running into flooded portions of the Long Bridge at Warewa.
Residents of rural aras of Lagos and Ogun states were also in a quandary, as dirt roads were covered in flood and mud.
