NYSC award winners urged to be good ambassadors

The Minister of Education, Professor Ruqayyatu Rufa’i, has enjoined winners of the NYSC Presidential Honours Awards to be good ambassadors of Nigeria by portraying its good image, as they proceed to the United Kingdom for their master’s programmes.
The minister made the appeal while receiving seven of the awardees, who paid her a “thank you” visit in her office, in Abuja, on Monday.
She urged them to maintain the hard work that earned them the awards and reiterated the charge of the Minister of State for Education, Chief Nyesom Wike, to “study hard and come back to develop Nigeria to make it great”, adding that “this is actually a directive.”
